Date line - Feb. 20, 1953
In loving memory of Lou Clemmer Morris Broyles, born March 16,1871 near Briscoe MO, and departed this life on Friday Feb 9,1953 also at Briscoe. Early in life she united in marriage to Henry L. Barnes whose death occured in 1905. Four children were born to this union. One son dying in infancy, George Barnes, age 42, and Emmett age 52 also preceded her in death, leaving her one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) now Mrs. Maurice Lester of Casper, Wyoming. In later years she was married to W.W. (William Wesley) Broyles of Briscoe MO, whose death occured several years ago. She leaves to mourn her passing besides her daughter and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Emmett Barnes, two grandchildren Jack and Bud Barnes of St Louis, three grandchildren: Mrs Virgil Walker, Mrs William Green and Mrs George Mickie all of California, two great-grandsons of St Louis, six great-great-granddaughters all of California, also many relatives and a host of friends. Aunt Lou, lived her entire life in the Briscoe Community and was well loved by all who knew her and her cheerful smile and kind words will be greatly miss by all. Funeral will be Thursday Feb. 12,1953 at Briscoe Union Church. Interment in New Morris Cemetery.
