BURLEY – Cynthia Louise Olson Hansen, age 62, of Burley, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.

Cynthia was born on April 20, 1951 in Burley, Idaho, to Chauncey Garth and Ramona Ilene Miller Olson. She received her education in Rupert, graduating from Minico High School.

She married Roger Hansen on Feb. 26, 1969 in Las Vegas, NV. Together they had seven children. They later divorced.

She was a faithful and active member of the LDS Church where she served in many capacities including, Primary, Young Womens, and Relief Society presidencies.

Cindy worked at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in the Human Resources Department, Occupational Therapy, and as a certified nurses assistant. She was also an election volunteer and a participant for Relay for Life.

She loved traveling with her family, working in her flower beds, and found much joy in tending her grandchildren. She was always focused on family. Cindy lived a life of love and had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and her extensive adopted family. She loved and accepted everyone and radiated a kindness and gentleness to all she met.

Cindy is survived by her children: Scott Hansen and Tyler Hansen, both of Burley, Monica (Sammy) Parah, of Thornton, CO, Alicia Catmull-Frank (Ben), of Rupert, Zachary (Becca) Hansen and Cabe (Jenn) Hansen, all of Burley; son-in-law, Jerrod Catmull, of Burley; 11 grandchildren (who were the lights of her life): Shelby Hansen, Jerrin Catmull, Zion Parah, Abigail Hansen, Revan Hansen, Alia Catmull, Carver Hansen, Blaize Hansen, her little "peanut" OraVee Frank, Austin Frank, Savanna Blevins, Kymberlyn Smith, and many other children who called her aunt or grandma; her special friends: Kathleen Henrie and Vickie Neiwert, both of Burley; her mother, Ramona Throckmorton; and her siblings, Monte Olson, of Boise, Carla Bean and Brent Olson, both of Burley, Viki (Jim) Gardner, of Sparks, NV, Kathy Throckmorton, of Idaho Falls, Lane (Trudy) Throckmorton, of Rupert, and Kim Hofman, of Belding, MI.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Hansen; her father, Garth Olson; a stepbrother, Doyle Throckmorton; her stepfather, Vernon Throckmorton; and her stepmother, Jeannie Olson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Burley LDS Stake Center, 2050 Normal Ave., in Burley, with Bishop Larry Kloepfer officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St, in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
