Obit: PEARL CANNON MORRIS:

Funeral services for Miss Pearl Cannon Morris, 78, were held from Mill Creek Baptist Church near Auburn, at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon Mar 9, 1964. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Miss Morris died Saturday morning March 7, 1964, in the Thalman Nursing Home. She was born July 27, 1885 near Whiteside, MO, and was a daughter of Richard and Susan Alice Howdeshell Morris. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ruby, in May of 1963. She is survived by two nieces, Mrs Franklin Miller of Elsberry MO, and Mrs Dick Simpson, of Ironton MO, Three nephews, Milford and Billy Joe Morris, both of St Louis MO, and Warren Morris of San Rafael, CA. Funeral services were in Charge of the Ricks Funeral home of Elsberry, Mo., with Rev Alvin Tyler of the New Hope Baptist Church, officiating. The casket bearers were Carrol Brown; Lowell Wilson; Lester Haddock; Alex Luck; Jim Ben Lewis; and Norman Simmons.
