Lottie M. Reed, age 99, of Bellingham, passed away Thurs., June 13, 2002, in Bellingham. She was born Nov. 5, 1902, in Whatcom County to John and Frances (Zdenek) Jess and had been a lifetime Whatcom County resident. She graduated from Bellingham Normal School where she earned her teaching certificate and taught in Whatcom County. She married Grant Reed in 1927 in Whatcom County. They were married for 69 years. They wintered in Arizona. Mrs. Reed enjoyed her family, home and Birch Bay.
Preceded in death by her husband son, Larry Reed five sisters and one brother. Survived by her daughter, Donna & husband Jerry Hickok of Edmonds daughter-in-law, Marlene Reed of Blaine four grandchildren: Linda & Gary Rogers, Mike & Pat Hickok, Brad & Laura Reed and Jodi & Dave Mellott seven great-grandchildren: Dan and Cory Mellott, Abby, Max and Olivia Reed, and Jamie and Gary Rogers.
A graveside service will be held Wed., June 19, 3:00 p.m. at Greenacres|Moles Cemetery with Rev. Al Currier officiating. Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.
