Patricia Ann Boling March 2, 1936- January 11, 2012 COLUMBUS, GEORGIA- Patricia Ann Boling, 75, of Columbus, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at her home.

Pat was born on March 2, 1936 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Daniel Docherty and Nan McDowell.

Later in life Pat became a dedicated flight attendant for Miami, Florida based Eastern Airlines traveling all over North and South America; after the demise of Eastern she flew for Southwest Airlines before retiring in 2001.

Pat immigrated to the United States at the age of 19 and was fiercely passionate about being an American citizen and never failed to cry when hearing the national anthem, but never lost her Gaelic pride; she loved to garden and entertain, and was a diehard parrot head; she was extraordinarily industrious - there wasn't a home repair project she wouldn't tackle; but most of all Pat was an animal lover, especially cats, and anyone who didn't feel the same was generally suspect.

Pat is pre-deceased by her late husband, Jack Thomas Boling, and is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Ann Boling and Carolyn Jane Weinbaum; her son-in-law, Adam Weinbaum and Adam's son Ben Weinbaum, all of Columbus, Georgia; and her brother, Robert Docherty, of Jamaica.

A memorial to celebrate Patricia will be held on January 28, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 215 7th Street, Columbus, Georgia 31901. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please send donations to the Humane Society of Harris County. She would be happy to know animals are being helped in her name.
