Phineas G. Lind was born March 12, 1855, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phineas G. Lind. He was an industrious farmer and had lived in Redding township most of his life. He was known among his neighbors and friends as honor[able] and upright in all his dealings.
He leaves two sons, Charles of Reddington, and Jessie, of Seymour, a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Clouse, and two grand-children.
The double funeral was held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Reddington church, conducted by the Rev. Russell Gywnn, of Eaton, former pastor of the church at Reddington. Burial at Reddington.
Note: Phineas G. Lind and his daughter Nellie M. Lind were murdered on October 15, 1921, in Redding Township, Jackson County, Indiana, by a man who had wished to gain the affections of Miss Lind, but had been refused.
