Obituaries
Captain Hansell Pinckney Wells died in Shreveport Friday morning in the seventy-fifth year of his age. During the war he was captain of Company B, Third Louisiana Cavalry.

Life's battle has been fought. One by one the heroic veterans, who have written an imperishable epitaph on the scroll of fame, stand in the presence of the grim Reaper and answer the final roll call.

H. P. Wells, a resident of Shreveport, died last Friday, aged 74 years. He served with distinction during the war. Lawyer, legislator, orator and above all else honest, and upright he has gone to his final rest honored and beloved.
