Stanley Shepherd, 74, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at S.O.M.C. Emergency Room. Stanley was born in Scioto County on April 10, 1939, the son of the late Ruben and Peggy Howard Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores J. Sheets Shepherd, and one brother, Gary Shepherd. Stanley is survived by his girlfriend, Wanda Spriggs of Portsmouth; two daughters, Diana (Tim) Johnson of Portsmouth and Angie Shepherd of Swauger Valley; one son, Darin (Donna) Shepherd of West Portsmouth; two sisters, Josephine (Shay) Lute of West Portsmouth and Barbara (Sonny) Brannan of McDermott and four grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the ADKINS-BRANT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth. The family will receive friends at Adkins-Brant from noon until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Mershon Cemetery.
