after a long illness.
Born July 26. 1924. at Olmitz, he married
Marie Schreiber Nov. 11. 1972. at Olmitz.
He was a retired farmer and lifetime Olmitz
resident.
He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic
Church, Knights of Columbus, both of Olmitz.
Eagles Lodge. Great Bend.
Survivors: wife, of the home; stepdaughters,
Mary Ann Shaft. Hutchinson; Carol Barreiro,
Hockessin, Del.; brothers. Gerald. Great
Bend; Carl, Albert; sisters, Leona Gerritzen,
Iola; Betty Gross, Wichita; Sister Anastasia
Jilg, Wichita; five step grandchildren.
Parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary,
both at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home,
Hoisington. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the church; Father Ultan
Murphy. Burial at St. Anne's Cemetery, Olmitz.
