Austin Terry D. Austin, age 53, of Lewis Center, OH, passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born to the late Lloyd E. and Mildred F. Austin on July 16, 1960 in Dayton, OH. Terry received his Bachelors from Miami University in 1982. For almost 30 years he worked in various departments within Nationwide Insurance. Terry enjoyed home improvement and designing innovative projects. An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed watching the Reds and Indians. Terry loved to spend time with his family and friends and enjoyed traveling. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Margie Austin; daughter, Pamela (Brian) Dempsey; granddaughters, Katie and Audrey; brother, David (Teresa) Austin; son, Ryan Chase; step-mother, Juanita Austin; step-sister, Carla Tobald; step-brothers, Steve Springer and Randy Springer; and extended family. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High St., Worthington, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
