John was united in marriage to Diana Williams on July 31, 1981 and they have made their home in Republic since 1985.
John was a devout Christian man. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #570 AFAM in Republic and a 20 year retiree of the U.S. Medical Center of Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri, where he had designed the dialysis unit and supervised the operation for several years.
A former Republic Alderman, he was currently serving as a Republic Planning and Zoning Commissioner.
John is survived by his loving wife and companion of nearly 33 years, Diana; three sons and their spouses, Troy and Delphine Denney, Travis and Gretchen Denney, and Dustin and Janice Denney; a daughter, Amee Bayless; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Larry Denney and wife Sue; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
Masonic Rites will be presented at the start of the service. Burial in Lindsey Cemetery in Republic.
