MOUSER — Paul R. Mouser, 79, London, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, 1:52 a.m.
He was born Sept. 1, 1934, in London, the son of Charles and Annabelle (Boysel) Mouser.
Paul is survived by loving wife of 39 years, Shirley (Schatz) Mouser; devoted daughter, Marla (Roger) Jeffers; stepdaughters, Darlene (Jim) Becker and Donna (Clay) Filson; sisters, Patty (Eddy) Walters and Connie (Phil) Hileman; sister-in-law, Cherie Mouser; grandchildren, Sarah (Ben) Porter, Kate (Michael) Ater, Julie (Grant) Paige, Jill Becker, Sierra and Hallie Filson, Conner, Celina, and Corbin Jeffers; great-grandchildren, Alec Paige, Jolie and Sam Porter, Eric Ater; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Being a lifelong resident of London, he retired from Ohio Edison after 41 years of dedicated service.
Paul was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, London, for 55 years where he served as an elder. Being an avid bowler, we all waited for the call celebrating a 300 game, but we had to settle for a whopping 298! He was inducted into the Madison Lanes Hall of Fame in 2006. Paul's face lit up whenever his grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. His spunk and loving nature will be missed by all who knew him.
His family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. A Funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, London, with the Reverend Gordon Johnson officiating. Paul will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the start of the funeral. Interment will be held in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard.
Friends may contribute in Paul's memory to Loving Care Hospice, First Presbyterian Church, or London Emergency Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church. We want to take this opportunity to thank the following during our hours of need: Loving Care Hospice, your compassion and genuine care will forever be a blessing; Sandy, you were our loving angel and are deeply appreciated; Pastor Jerry Poff, for the time that you spent ministering to Paul; London Emergency squad for your comfort and safety throughout our journey. We will be forever grateful for our family and friends for their never ending support.
