Funeral services for Dallas Steinke, a life-long resident of this area, were conducted here Tuesday morning in Zion Evangelical U.B. Church, with Rev. Merwyn Davidson officiating.

Mr. Steinke died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his farm home northeast of Culbertson where he lived with his mother.

During the services, Everett Kern sang "Abide With Me" and "Going Down the Valley," with organ accompaniment by Mrs. Carl Herman.

Burial was made in Memorial Park cemetery at McCook under the direction of the Herrmann Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Axel Olson, Melvin Heskett, Ivan Hill, Fred Karp, Arnold Cappel, and Edwin Zander.

Dallas Steinke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Steinke, was born March 6, 1917 at Upland, Nebraska and died April 21, 1962 at his home northeast of Culbertson, having attained the age of 45 years. He moved with his parents to Red Willow County, Nebraska, the same year he was born. His father and one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lillie Steinke and three brothers, Myrel and Harold of Culbertson and Oliver of Denver.
