Robert (Bob) Young, 79, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gracie Williams Young; son-in-law, Clyde Moles.
Survivors include his wife, Irene M. Young of the home; children and spouses, Jimmy and Rita Young of Woodlawn, Patricia Moles of Dugspur, and Tony and Angela Young of Hillsville; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Young, Patrick Young, Kevin Moles, Jessica Moles, Keisha Moles, Matthew Young, Dillon Young, and Mark Young; eleven great grandchildren, Alan, Amber, Aaron, Kaci, Devon, Kenzie, Joshua, Kayla, Faith, Zoie, and Keiara; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Glenna Young of Bassett; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Danny Cobler of Collinsville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ronald Bowman and Gilbert Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. The Family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the family.
