Guy married Berna Anderson and they had three sons; Lloyd, born in 1926; Dale, born in 1928 and Bruce, born Feb, 25, 1931.
Guy was was a Deputy Sheriff in 1928 with the Monterey County (CA) Sheriff's Office. By 1930, law enforcement was in the Abbott family blood. Guy's brother, Edward was also a Deputy and another relative, Carl H. Abbott, was the Sheriff!
