She was the second wife of James Harbison. They got married on 12/25/1823. She was 46 years younger than he was. They had three children, who survived past infancy. James was a Rev. War soldier. After he died in 1835, Jane continued to live in Chester County, SC. In 1842, she had a child out of wedlock, a son named Samuel. In 1850 she and her children left South Carolina and came to Perry County, IL. Her daughter, Sarah Harbison Knox, is buried here, as is her daughter, Mary Young Harbison Campbell. Also, her son Samuel is buried here. Jane's husband James Harbison was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and he immigrated to America with his parents and siblings on 12/22/1767, on the ship "Earl of Donegal." James was buried in the Old Harbison Burying Ground, back in Chester County, SC.
