Yvonne Baccus Morris, 78, of Monroe, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, following a brief illness. She was laid to rest Sunday, Jan. 26, at Mount Vernon Christian Church, where she was a lifelong member.
Born in Walton County on Jan. 14, 1936, to Thomas Carl Baccus and Edna Brown Baccus, she resided in Monroe all her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Eugene Morris, and a son, Thomas Keith Morris.
She is survived by her daughter, Shari Smith, of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pam Morris, of Monroe; grandchildren, Haley and Drew Smith and Elizabeth and Matthew Morris; and sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bobby Young, of Monroe.
Her strength of character, integrity and faith with which she lived her life, and the kindness and love she showed all, will be so greatly missed.
Tim Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
