Mrs. Sylvia Amelia Borst, 65, of Maryville died Friday at 7:40 a.m. at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, where she had been a patient 10 days. A resident of Maryville 37 years, she previously resided in Troy.
Born Sept. 30, 1899 in Pin Oak Township, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Ellen Voris Cline. On Feb. 2, 1921 in Edwardsville she was married to Riggin Borst, who died Dec. 6, 1963.
Surviving are one son, Edgar R. of Troy; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Dorothy) Johnson of Maryville; one brother and four sisters, Oren Cline and Mrs. Jacob (Ruth) Davis, both of Edwardsville, Mrs. Arbie (Minnie) Nesbit of Steelville, Mo., Mrs. John (Ethel) Smith and Mrs. Mae Bour, both of Troy. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Borst was a member of the Maryville Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the Edwards Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Maryville Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Dillinder, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy.
Pallbearers will be Tom and Willard Fitch, Fred Martin, Wilbur Chadwick, Matt Scheiber and Joe Desper.
