Services for Marjorie "Katy" Bright 52, Tyler, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday, May 20, 1996 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Davenport officiating.

Burial will be in Rose Hill' Cemetery under direction of Burks-. Walker-Tippit Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mrs. Bright died Saturday May 18, 1996 at her residence.

She was born September 13, 1943 in Bryan, TX and grew up in Tyler. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Tyler Junior College. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University, and taught school in Texas for several years, including at TJC. She was a PATH volunteer for 10 years, helped start the Literacy Program, was on the board of the, "literacy Council, president of PTO and on board of directors' of All -Saints-Episcopal School.

Survivors include her husband, John Bright, Tylers daughter, Betsey (Elizabeth) Bright, Dallas; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sophia Bright, Nacogdoches, and Matthew Bright, Tyler, mother, Mrs. Neill Marshall, Kaufman; brothers and sisters, Pat Marshall, Tyler, Mike Marshall, Hurst, Mary Helen White, Dallas, and Marilyn Shipley, Kaufman and one grand-daughter.

Pallbearers include James Shipley, Marshall Thomas, Robert Marshall, Neill Marshall, Russell Marshall, Michael Marshall, Bill Flanigan and Bill Leland.

Family will receive friends from 2:30-4'pm. Sunday at the funeral home.
