Robin D. Carter, 49, formerly of Cottage Hills, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. Born July 7, 1956, in Wood River, she was the daughter of Clarence D. Sanders of California and DeLois (Linebarger) Hancock of Cottage Hills. She was a custodian for M. J. D. Cleaning Service and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wood River. Besides her parents, survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Monica Jean and Jason Carter of Godfrey; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael P. and Sarah Carter of West Frankfort, Ill.; two grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary Carter of Godfrey; one sister, Kim E. White of Cottage Hills; and two brothers, Donald H. Hancock Jr. and Kevin L. Hancock Sr., both of Cottage Hills. She was preceded in death by her dear stepfather who raised her, Donald H. Hancock Sr. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Ivan Greuter officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
