Cathy Jo Cockerham Franks, age 60 of Winnfield, Passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Winnfield.

Mrs. Franks was a native of Winnfield, a member of Atlanta Baptist Church, and recently attended First Baptist Church of Winnfield. She enjoyed helping the Seniors of Winn Parish by assisting the Winn Council on the Aging.

She is the daughter of the late Albert Howard Cockerham and Clara Carpenter Cockerham. She was also preceded in death by her brother Howard Ray Cockerham, sister Frances Ann Cockerham Williams, brother-in-law Carl Ronald "Huck" Williams, and son Roger D. Lowery II.

Survivors include one daughter Rachel Doyle Lowery and son-in-law Mondy Lynn Phelps, four grandchildren Breela and Kreston Phelps, Chandlin and Chanstin Lowery, brother Mike Cockerham and his wife Becky, sister-in-law Leila Cockerham, nieces and nephews Steve and Annette Cockerham, Craig and Christine Cockerham, Amy and Jeff Gardner. She is also survived by numerous family and friends that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Old Union Baptist Church with Reverends Stephen Laughlin, Duane Moreno, and Rayford Higgs officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Friends may visit Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and also on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

The family wishes to express a special Thank You to Mary Lowery for her help, love, and support.

Pallbearers will be: Steve Cockerham, Ross Cockerham, Craig Cockerham, Van Creel, John McElroy, and Adrian James. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Cockerham, Dylan Johns, and Phillip Taylor.
