Death Of A Well-Known Railroad Watchman
Mr Owen McKone(sic) who had been a watchman on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad near Brady's and who was well-known in railroad circles, died at his residence near Brady's about 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The deceased was attending to his duties as usual yesterday morning and about half past eleven he was obliged to be relieved from his work when at the above stated hour he died. Mr McKone was about 45 of age and had been suffering from dyspepsia for several years, the disease not rendering him unfit for duty until yesterday. He was for sometime editor and proprietor of the Cresaptown
Inquirer and also a correspondent of the Times. The remains will be brought here early tomorrow morning when High Mass will be held in the St Patrick's church, after which they will be interred in St Patrick's Cemetery at 10 o'clock.
