Lt. Col. Calvert Andrew Moody, born in Ontario, California on June 27,1919 took flight on January 23, 2014 for the wild blue yonder to join members of his 57th Bomb Wing; 340th Bomb Group. They have been anxiously awaiting his heavenly landing. Col Moody was raised in EI Centro, California and attended San Jose State College, graduating in 1941 with a BA degree. He went into the US Army Air Corp Cadets immediately after graduation. He graduated from Kelly Field as a Navigator in 1942 and went into training with the 340th Bomb Group in Columbia, South Carolina. He served in the African, Sicily, and Corsica Campaigns during World War II. During the Korean War, he served in Washington State in the Air Rescue, and in the Training Command at Ellington Field, Texas.

He leaves behind to celebrate his life, ex wife Jacqueline Hokanson, of Sugarland, Texas, sister Genevieve Skiles of Idyllwild, California, many nephews and nieces, and his friend, companion, and partner of 36 years, Tim Schneider.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27th at Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
