Mark Edward Hayden went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 17, 2012, at the age of 53. He was born in Aiken, South Carolina on July 22, 1959, to Edward and Dorothy Hayden. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Malissa Hayden, and his sister Catherine Jo Hayden.

Mark is survived by his daughters Alyssa Hayden and April Hayden and fiance J.T. Rose, all of Boerne; his sister Brenna Adame and husband Edward Adame Sr. of San Antonio; his brothers Randy Hayden and wife Shawn of Boerne, Edward "Jody" Hayden of Houston, and Gary Hayden of Houston; his in-laws Roxanna Chapman of San Antonio, Sloan Smith of San Antonio; Janet Nabb of San Antonio, and Patricia Fincke of Boerne; his nieces and nephews Tracy Pendry, Edward Adame Jr., Kori Dolde, Philip Hayden, Michael Hayden, Matthew Hayden, Elizabeth Chapman, Sarah Chapman, and Travis Hayden; his great nieces and nephews Kate and Sawyer Pendry and Hannah, Aubrey, Blake, and Dean Hayden; and his "adopted daughters" Leslie McBee, Lara Simms, and Whitney Luebe.

Mark spent his whole life in the construction business. For the past 10 years, he worked for Southfork Construction building for various restaurant chains throughout Texas and the surrounding states. He was very proficient at his trade and a master perfectionist on any project that came his way. Mark was quite the handyman who was always there to help when needed. He was happiest being outdoors doing yard work (especially weedeating) and working to complete construction on his new home. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his big Great Dane Phantom.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012. Inurnment will take place at the Holy Angels Cemetery at the Convent of the Benedictine Sisters at a later date.
