In Navasota, Tx. on the 19th day of October, 1964, Minor and Lela Adams were given a gift of a baby girl of which they named Sherri Lynn Adams. Sherri Lynn grew and spent her elementary and junior high school years at the campus of Lincoln High School. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1983. After Graduation, she attended technical school where she majored in the medical industry. Sherri went on to work for Eckerds Distribution Center, Dynacare and also for LabCorp. Sherri Lynn accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of seven and was baptized by the then Reverend Milton McGaskey, Sr. Sherri was an active member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church of Houston, Texas.

In the wee morning hours of January 16, the Lord dispatched his angels to bring Sherri Lynn Home. Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Minor Adams. Those who remain to cherish her memory: mother, Lela Marie Rice Adams of Mongtomery, Tx.; children, Jeffrey LaVance Adams, Chanedra Deunshae Creeks, Kelsie Nicole Creeks all of Houston, Tx.; sisters, Vera Adams of Houston, Tx., Joycelyn Hamilton of Mongtomery, Tx., Sherry Ann Moses of Minden, La.; brothers, Michael Van Adams and Sherman Hamilton of Conroe, Tx.; uncles, James Adams of Mongtomery, Tx. and Leve Rice, Sr. of Compton, CA.; aunts, Vivian Adams, of Mongtomery Tx. and Dorothy Moore of Houston, Tx.; special friend, Douglas Hooey, Jr. of Coldspring, Tx.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m.,The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Montgomery U.M.C 22548 Highway 105 West Montgomery, Texas 77356, Rev. Gregory Davis, officiating. Interment: Montgomery Memorial Cemetery Montgomery, Tx.
