Leah Carolyn Nelson, 82 pursued several hobbies
Leah Carolyn Richmond Boldrey Nelson, 82, of Lexington, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Bob Cannon and Pastor J.D. Traylor officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at Morgan & Nay Funeral Center in Madison. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum near Madison.

Mrs. Nelson was a 1949 graduate of Hanover High School and a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church. She had worked for Maude Summer's Ice Cream Shoppe in Hanover and at RCA in Indianapolis. Mrs. Blair also worked for the Charlestown Ammuni-tion Plant and then at Conn Organ. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, needlework, working in her yard, traveling and spending time with her family.

Born September 13, 1931 in Jefferson County, Mrs. Nelson was the daughter of Orville Jackson and Mary Helen Borcherding Richmond. She first married John Boldrey and then Charles L. Nelson who died in 1996.

Survivors include daughters, Patty Boldrey (Kenny McCoy) Jackson of Milton, Kentucky, Linda Boldrey (Dennis) Gray of Kent, and Donna Boldrey (Mike) Perry of Madison; son, John (Tess) Boldrey of Columbus; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Beverly Richmond (Graham) Robbins of Hanover.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by brothers, Jackson "Jack" and Rodney Richmond; and sister, Joanne Sullivan.
