Jessica Mullendore Prosser, 86, of Martinsville was called home at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born on July 3, 1927 in Jamestown, Kentucky, to the late James B. and Nellie (Falkenburg) Ramsey. She had moved to Martinsville only a couple of years ago with her daughter and son-in-law, living most all of her life in Franklin, Indiana.

In 1946, Jessica married Donal Lewis Mullendore and to this union three children were born. She worked alongside her husband in the family business during the late 1960's and throughout the 1970's as a secretary at the Franklin Flying Field. Jessica was a past member of the Trafalgar Lodge of the Order of Eastern Star and had served as Grand Matron and was also actively involved in the Trafalgar Rainbow Girls as a Mother Advisor for many years. In 1978, she was tragically widowed as a result of a plane crash. She later married Morris Prosser in 1984 and he also preceded her in death in the late 1990's.

Jessica was an active member of The Crossing in Ninevah, where she was a prayer team member and bible study enthusiast, hosting and leading years of home bible study groups, and was a member of the Christian Women's Foundation (CWF). She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved the Lord. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, cooking, baking bread, quilting, and spending time with her family.

Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Dean Mullendore in 1973; step-son, Jerry Prosser; brothers, Gilbert, Joseph, Ralph, Jim, Fred and Curtis Ramsey; sisters, Alma McGee, Nell Jackson and Juanita Noel and grandson, Glenn Walker.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (husband, Bill) Willis of Martinsville and Donna Walker of Nevada; step-children, Gene (wife, Carolyn) Prosser of Franklin and Linda (husband, Doug) Doane of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Julie (husband, Jay) Scott, Teresa (husband, Nels) Bowen, Josh (wife, Amy) Willis, Brooke (husband, Mike) Ramirez and Brandy (husband, Brandon) Ecker; eleven great grandchildren and several step grand and great grandchildren.
