Daughter of Grace May Peters and Charles Dudley Kingman. Married Alvis Franklin Harrell in 1944; he preceded her death on July 22, 2009, in Mobile. Also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Harrell Whiteside. Survived by her two grandsons; her great-grandson; and her son-in-law. She was a World War II veteran who served as an Army nurse officer in England and France and was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 141 and its auxiliary in Mt. Vernon, where she and Alvis lived from the end of the war until moving to Mobile in 2005.
