She was born July 15th, 1929 in Overton County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Sidney and Bonzie (Reynolds) Cantrell.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Livingston, Tennessee and had attended the Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda (husband-Paul) Martin of Lake Placid, Florida; two sons, Jerry Smith of New Castle, and Roy Smith of Anderson; one daughter-in-law, Lorrie Sutter of Tuscan, Arizona; five grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Noah Smith, Ronnie McIntosh, Bobby McIntosh, and Neely (husband-Marvin) Druin; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Cody, and Brian; two sisters, Ruby Deck of Livingston, Tennessee, and Delzie Koger; and one brother, James Cantrell of Cooksville, Tennessee. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clevis Smith on July 18th, 2003; one son, Clayton Smith in 2001; one sister, Lillian Cantrell; and one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Smith.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 27th, 2014 at the Hacker-Main & Davis Funeral Home, Broad Street Chapel in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends and family may call from noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
