She was born on May 3rd, 1954 in Fordsville, the daughter of IJ & Lou Cindy (Hayse) White. Nelda was a homemaker and a dog groomer at Shaggy Dog in Leitchfield. She attended the United Methodist Church of Morgantown and was a pianist for 6 years. She enjoyed times at Lake Malone fishing. Most of all, she enjoyed life.
Nelda is survived by her husband of 23 years, Gary Riggs; 2 sons, Josh Travis Taylor of Owensboro and Leonard Arthur Taylor of Taylorsville; 4 daughters Amanda Louise Taylor of Owensboro, Janet Riggs of Spring Lick, Jessica Taylor of Millwood and Tamatha Riggs of Caneyville and 8 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be held at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Saturday, January 25th at 1:00 pm. Bro. Gerald Geary will be officiating.
