Sarah Grace Hooks Patrick, 90, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.
She was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby Meacham Hooks. She was a member of Cameronian Presbyterian Church and retired from JP Stevens Co.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Patrick; son, Michael and Linda Patrick of Statesville; daughter, Chris and David O'Neal of Mt. Airy; granddaughters, Heather and Jamie Jacobs of Asheville, Ashley and Jared Moser of Mt. Airy and Laura Elliott of Hamlet; six great-grandchildren, Will Jacobs, Kylie Jacobs, Reese Jacobs, Nolan Moser, Gabe Elliott and Stephanie Elliott.
The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Saturday at Cameronian Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
