Our beloved mother and grandmother, Hilda Goff, 82, was called home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She passed to eternity peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial services will be held at the Faith Community Church, 940 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Hilda Louise was born on April 10, 1926, to Alfred and Rosa Mueller in Buhl, Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne H. Goff, in 1943. They farmed with Wayne's family near Buhl and started their family there. When they had the opportunity to buy a farm in the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project, they moved to the Moses Lake area in 1954. Wayne and Hilda not only built their home and farm here, but were also very instrumental in starting the Christian Church (now Faith Community Church) in Moses Lake. She was a faithful member for more than 50 years. Hilda continued to live on the family farm until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her beloved husband, Wayne.
Hilda's greatest joy was spending time with her family which includes her children, Teresa Goff of Burien, Wash., Peggy Kursave of Omak, Wash., Jim and Connie Goff of Warden, Bryan and Tami Goff of Moses Lake, Randy and Gay Penrose of Moses Lake, 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hilda was passionate about her family, her faith, her farm, her church and her friends. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener and gifted cook. She also enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, knitting and studying God's word. She had the gift of hospitality – there was always enough at the table for one more – and loved opening her home to numerous young people throughout the years including youth from Switzerland. Her hospitality never waned and the family thanks her many friends for the cards, phone calls and visits during her final illness.
Hilda will be dearly missed, but her family rejoices that she is at peace in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
