Betty Lou (Hocker) Jackson age 78 of Troy, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL.
She was born on November 26, 1935 in Pleasant Hill, OH to Kenneth and Josephine (Elicker) Hocker. Betty graduated from Newton High School.
The majority of Betty's career in hospital work was spent as secretary to the administrator at Piqua Hospital, retiring in 1986. She had many hobbies including sewing for others and gardening. Betty loved small animals and children. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronnie and sister JoAnn Studer. Betty is survived by husband, Van Jackson and son Vaughn & Kay (Knaeble) Jackson of Pleasant Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday January 23rd at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with a lunch to follow at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
