James R. Ullrey Jr.
James Robert Ullrey Jr., 43, of Meridian, died August 29, 1996, at his residence. Born in Marysville, he was a lifetime Yuba-Sutter resident. He worked as an auto mechanic for the County of Sutter and was a volunteer fireman with the Meridian Fire Department for 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Linda Ullrey of Meridian; a son, Eddie Ullrey of Meridian; his parents James and Virginia Ullrey of Meridian; and a sister, Sheryl Sato of Cloverdale. The family suggests memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Plains, Ill. 60018, or to a charity of choice.
Services: A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Herman Wendler of the Meridian Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Meridian Cemetery. Visitation will be form 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
