March 23, 1886 Death of Mrs. Clark Mrs. Mary J. Clark, wife of D. R. Clark, painter, who resides on Green street extended, died this morning at 2 o'clock, in the 45th year of her age. Mrs. Clark had been a patient sufferer for over two years with cancer in the breast, and about a year ago submitted to an operation for its removal, which gave her temporary relief, but from which she never recovered. She was a daughter of the veteran retired boatman, Mr. Peter Quigley, and by her gentle and amiable disposition won many friends, who will regret her death and whose sympathies will be extended to the bereaved husband and family. She leaves nine children, six sons and three daughters, the youngest child being about five years of age. The funeral will take place from Mr. Clark's residence tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock.
