Butler Citizen, Thursday, Apr 10 1919:

On Wednesday, April 2, Miss Clara Gladys Campbell of Boyers and Edward J. Young of Argentine were united in marriage at 2:00 at the Argentine Free Methodist Church with Rev. Bruester officiating. Miss Campbell was attended by Miss Viola Young, sister of the groom, and Samuel Wade served as best man. They will be at home in Argentine.


Oil City Derrick, Thursday, Oct 24 1968:

Edward John Young, 69, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in his home at Polk RD 2, Victory Township. He was born at Argentine, Butler County, December 29, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Young.


He retired from Cooper-Bessemer at Grove City.


Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Louise) King, Polk RD 2; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Viola) Ekis, Karns City RD; Mrs. Howard (Elizabeth) Robb, Sharon: Mrs. John (Etta) Novak, St. Petersburg, Clarion County; five brothers, Clarence Young, New Castle; Glenn, Mercer; Lee, Argentine. Carl, Karns City, and Harry, Philadelphia; three grandchildren. A son, John, was killed in action in Germany during World War II.


Friends will be received at the Donovan Funeral Home, Clintonville.
