He was born Sept. 14, 1866, in the Town of Centerville, son of the late Conrad and Henrietta Kielsmeier stock. He married Wilhelmena Stock Nov. 13, 1889, in the Town of Centerville. She died in 1896 and Sept. 28, 1898, he married Mary Stock. She died in 1944.
Mr. Stock farmed in the Town of Centerville until 1905 and then operated a farm in the Town of Newton until his retirement in 1944. Since that time he had been living with his son-in-law and daughter at Manitowoc. He served as an elder in his church for 20 years and had been a member of the school board in the Town of Newton.
Among survivors are three sons, Oscar of Manitowoc, Edwin of Sheboygan and Alvin of the Town of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Dill of Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A son, daughter and two grandchildren also preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church and the body will lie in state until time of service.
