Mr. Fine, a member of America's Greatest Generation, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, and Okinawa, was a Pharmacist Mate attached to Marine ground forces. After the war, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and became a Pharmacist. As a pharmacist, he worked at the former People's Drug Store, now Rite-Aid, for many years.
"Len" was an Elder and Deacon at the Canfield Presbyterian Church for many years, a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the Canfield Fire Department, and also volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster, teaching them Archery and other skills.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Fine; daughter Judith (Lee) Skimin; sons Jeffrey B. Fine, James and Thomas Leithold, and Joseph (Diane) Leithold; grandchildren Robert Skimin, Sarah (Brett) Correale, Benjamin, Jenna and Emily Leithold; and great-grandchildren Alexander, Ryleigh, Gabriella, Bella, Cooper, Julianna and Nathan.
Preceding Leonard in death was his wife of 49 years, Freda Marlatt Fine; parents Louis and Elizabeth Fine; and siblings Frederick E. (Gene) Fine, Gordon (Zeke) Fine, Harry L Fine, Frank K. Fine, Doris Fine Hanson, James Phillip Fine, Joseph E. Fine, and Arnold Bennett Fine.
A graveside service will be at noon on Saturday at Round Hill Cemetery, 2131 Round Hill Church Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037.
