Paul James Chambers

Paul was one day shy of turning 75 years old. He was 74 when he passed away on January 17, 2014.

He was born on January 18, 1939 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Son of Joel Smithers Chambers and Edna Pearl Moore Chambers.

He worked in construction as a truck driver for many years. Paul loved his sisters, brother and nephews and nieces. He enjoyed taking short trips to various places close to Globe. On these trips, he would take advantage of learning about the history of those places. Paul enjoyed visiting his friends either in person or on the phone.

He experienced joy from reading his Bible and attending church services. He loved Mexican food. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for four year.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, brother Leon and sister Debbie.

He is survived by his wife Penny, sisters Pamela (Michael) Murphy, Phyllis Wales, brother-in-law James (Lajan) Irvine, sister-in-law Barbara Jean Chambers, along with several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at Central Height Baptist Church in Central Heights, AZ. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 A.M. at the church.

Interment will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Arizona National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.

Family request donation be sent in the name of Paul Chambers to Banner Institute Research for Alzheimer's.
