Jimmie Ellis, lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at the age of 85.
He is survived by his sister, Lucille Cameron of Milton, FL; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and very close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Daigo) Ellis.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a life long Horseman of some reknown. His love for his horses and dedication to family and friends was unsurpassed. Loved by many and missed by all.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1 PM at National Cremation & Burial Society with Pastor Brian Deida officiating. Interment will follow in Juniper Cemetery in Chumuckla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the service hour.
