Maxine grew up in Norton, attended the Norton elementary school, and graduated from the Norton Community High School. On May 11, 1947, Maxine and Roy Dixon were united in marriage in Norton. Maxine became a military wife as they were stationed all over the United States and overseas.
Maxine was a member of the Norton Christian Church. She enjoyed working with the public especially with the youth and she had a love for helping with family ranch operations in Norton and also in Littleton.
Survivors include: her son, Roy; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, an infant great grandson, three brothers, and one sister.
A memorial has been established to the Norton Christian Church Youth Program.
