Noah Andrews Roberson, age 87, of Ridgely, MD, died Sunday at his home.
He was the son of Rosebud Uriah Roberson and Carrie Andrews Roberson Powell, and graduated from West Edgecombe H. S. in 1944. From 1951-1953, Noah served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He began his career as a print type-setter at the Rocky Mt TELEGRAM in North Carolina, and retired from the U.S. Government printing office in D.C.
Noah was predeceased by his wife, Lue Dora Taylor Roberson and his sister, Louise Roberson Reed.
He leaves behind three sons:
Stephen Andrews "Steve" Roberson of Ridgely, MD; Robert Taylor "Robbie" Roberson of Huntsville, TX; and Gregory Lloyd "Greg" Roberson and his wife, Mercedes, of West Palm Beach, FL;
8 grandchildren; and was eagerly expecting the arrival of two great-grandchildren in August and November.
Noah is also survived by his brothers:
William Henry "Bill" Roberson of Louisburg, NC,
Oliver Curtis Powell of Rocky Mt, NC and
George Allen Powell of Norfolk, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 2 at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, MD, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
Burial will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
