Calvin ralph Morgan, 86, of Jane Lew, formerly of Big Isaac, WV., died Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Crestview Nursing Home of Jane Lew following and extended illness.

He was born October 21, 1924, in Doddridge county, son of the late Roy Edward and Ethel M. (Vanscoy) Morgan.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Lois (Williams) Morgan of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are his children, Donald Ralph Morgan and wife Mae of Hepzibah, Linda Lou Childers and husband Jennings Lynn of Buckhannon, Ruth Ann Pratt of Jackson's Mill and Terry Ray Morgan and wife Cheryl of Clarksburg. Grandchildren include: Beth (Childers) Pickens and husband David of Buckhannon, Ronnie Morgan and fiancé Kelley of Lost Creek, Andrew Ryan Morgan and wife Allie of Germantown, MD., and Jennifer ABoyles of Salem. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Merritt, and one sister-in-law, Mona Lee Morgan, both of Big Isaac, WV., as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Nicholson) Morgan on July 31, 2004. He was preceded in death by two brothers Roy Edward and Ora Edward Morgan, and five sister, Nora Pauline swisher, Roxie L. Crislip, Erma D. Polan, Mary Lucille Swann and Nellie Elizabeth Jerden.

Mr. Morgan retired from Pennzoil Company, with more than 30 years of service. Mr. Morgan served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Buckhannon. He enjoyed farming, gardening, bird watching and just being outdoors.

Family and friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue, Weston on Monday, April 11, 2011, from 5:00- 8:00 P.M. funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roger Fontaine. Interment followed services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew. Full Military honors were conducted by the Lewis County Honor Guard.
