MAX MEADOWS - Danny Carl "Whitrock" Spencer, 57, of Max Meadows, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Harless Spencer and one brother, Richard Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Lois Marshall Spencer of the home; two daughters, Susan Stuart and husband and Tammy Gallimore and husband, all of Austinville; three sons, Danny Wayne Spencer and wife, Larry Spencer and wife and Ronnie "Turk" Edwards, all of Max Meadows; seven grandchildren; his mother, Myrtle Spencer of Max Meadows; two sisters, Janie Adams and husband of Max Meadows and Cheryl Shupe and husband of Dugspur; two brothers, Elmo Spencer and wife and Russell Spencer and wife, all of Max Meadows; a special friend and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel in Austinville with Elder Joe McGrady officiating. Interment will follow in the Charity Cemetery. The family received friends at the Reese Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. yesterday and will receive friends at the residence at any time. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville is in charge of the arrangements.
