Douglas Wayne Holt, 71, of Woody St., Roxboro, died Monday, January 20, 2014. Born in Person County, Mr. Holt was the son of the late Harvey Thomas and Martha Bowes Holt.
Mr. Holt retired from Dialight and was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church. Mr. Holt enjoyed his passion for antiques.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clarence Holt, Hugh Holt, Garland Holt, Junior Holt and Dorothy Blalock.
Mr. Holt is survived by his daughter, Amanda Ostertag and husband Shannon, of Monett, MO; his sister-in-law, Betty Jo Holt, of Roxboro; one grandson, Tristen James Ostertag; three nephews, Hugh Holt, Jr., Mark Holt, and Terry Blalock; three nieces, Angela Hurlocker, Wendy Dukes, and Dawn Holt; and his best friend, Carol Gentry.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Francisco Garcia-Velasquez and the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery.
