She grew up in Lake City, was educated in the Lake City school system and graduated from Carver High School in 1967. She relocated to Paterson New Jersey shortly after graduating.
"Tubby", as she was lovingly called by her family lived a simple life.
She was gentle, soft spoken and a gracious woman. Juanita worked for Thermwell Product CO. Inc. for 44 years. She was a member of Creech Temple UHC in Paterson, NJ.
Tubby was predeceased by her parents Mose Sr. and Creola Burgess, one sister Cynthia Hickson and a longtime friend Garnette Lee Poulson.
She leaves to Cherish her memory 5 sisters: Julie (Jacob) Wheeler, Burena (Willie B) Parker, Nancy (Jessie) James, Shirley (Frank) Graham and Betty (Theodore) Wilson; 3 Brothers Mose Jr. (MaryAnn) Burgess, Harold Burgess and Tommy Lee (Billie Ann) Burgess and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her co- workers from Thermwell Product CO. Inc. and her Creech Temple UHCA Church Family all whom she loved dearly.
