Curtis L. Oliver, Sr. "Freedom Sha", was born into the world on October 21, 1976 at Barnert Hospital Paterson, NJ to the parents, Lidia Oliver Mitchell and Percy Drakford.

Curtis lived in Paterson and attended School 6 and then onto Passaic County Technical High School where he graduated.

He also attended Passaic County Community College and Kean College in Union, NJ. He worked for Retail Construction & Signage in Hackensack, NJ for many years.

Curtis was loved by all. He was well known and loved by everyone who knew him. Curtis was also known as Freedom Sha, family oriented had so much love for his son and family.

If you knew him, you knew he was the one to count on. Trust rely on, believe in his smile and laughter will truly be missed by all.

Humor was his joy and a love is everlasting.

Curtis was predeceased by his great grandmother, Donella Oliver Watson, grandmothers, Sheila Oliver Beach, Lillie Mae Drakeford Burns and Gene Burns, grandfathers, LeRoy Chapell and Herbert Mickens.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Curtis Oliver, Jr., mother, Lidia Oliver Mitchell; father, Percy Drakford; stepfather, David Mitchell; godparents, Lilliemae Washington Johnson and Nathaniel Johnson; sisters, Connie Beach, Patricia
