Curtis Edward Leber

April 19, 1961-Nov. 10, 2005

Curtis Edward Leber was born April 19, 1961 in Downey, Calif. to Delmar and Evelyn Leber. He went to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 2005 in Wofford Heights, Calif.

He graduated high school in Harbor City, Calif. and attended UC Long Beach for several years where he majored in Art and English. He worked as a counselor for 11 years at a half-way house for ex-convicts in Garden Grove, Calif. and the last three years as a youth counselor at Camp Owen in Kernville, Calif. He enjoyed counseling the youth and thought he made a difference in their lives.

Curt was a gifted artist and enjoyed composing his own unique style of greeting cards of all kinds. His favorite form of relaxation was singing karaoke with his friends in Kernville. Curtis had a quick wit and great sense of humor and made friends easily. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Curtis was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and remained active at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Lake Isabella, Calif. until he was called home.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Evie and Bill Webb; his sister, Cathy Hall and husband Jerry; niece and nephew Lauren and Kelly Hall; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Curt was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Leber, when Curtis was seven.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lake Isabella Valley Mortuary. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Lake Isabella, Calif., with graveside services at Rose Hills Memorial Cemetery, Whittier, Calif. at a later date.
