OLMITZ - Max C. Axman, 82, died March 28,
1983, at his home after a sudden illness.

Born July 10, 1900, at Olmitz

He married Mary Josephine Stelter Oct. 11,
1920, at Olmitz. She died Oct. 22, 1957.

He was a retired farmer and had been a
lifetime resident of the Olmitz community.

He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic
Church, 4th degree Knights of Columbus,
both of Olmitz; Grant Township board treasurer.

Survivors: sons, Leonard, Olmitz; Anthony,
Great Bend; daughters, Genevieve Bartonek,
Olmitz; Magdalen Wirtz, Lost Springs; Mary
Feist, Great Bend; Martina Axman, Olmitz;
sisters, Celestine Axman, Olmitz; Sister
Florine Axman, Sister Claudine Axman, both
of Wichita; 26 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at
the church; Father Ultan P. Murphy. Burial
at the church cemetery. Memorials to the
church in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hosington.
