LaDon D. Van Noy returned to his Heavenly Father on January 4, 2014 at the Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona.

He was born in Afton, Wyoming, April 23, 1935, to DeVon and Lavon Van Noy

His family was by his side.

He grew up helping his Father, Mother and two little sisters, Lorna and Jolene on a ranch that was part of the Van Noy Homestead in Thayne, Wyoming.

He graduated from Star Valley High School where he played football . He spent his first year of high School in Pleasanton, California . He lived with his Grandpa and Grandma Edgren. He went to college at Utah State University for two year before he left on a LDS mission to Japan for 2 1/2 years. He stayed an additional six months to travel and study Japanese architecture.

LaDon married Pauline Caroline DeRoock (Carien) January 19, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. The night they had their reception at the Thayne church it was 40 degrees below zero; very memorable occasion.

They moved to California where LaDon worked as a draftsman and Carien worked in a bank and then for the Pan American Airlines. They spent two years helping his Father and Mother build their house in Preston, Idaho. He used some his architectural designs. They spent the remainder of their years in Tempe, Arizona where LaDon went to school at the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin West, worked as a self employed Architect/Contractor building several homes and businesses in the Tempe/ Phoenix area.

Three children were born to them ; LanDara D., Hasanna Valysha and JoDal D. They have 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

LaDon is preceded in death by his parents, DeVon and Lavon Van Noy.

He is survived by his wife, Carien and children; LanDara (Kari) Van Noy, Hasanna (Kevin) Smith and JoDal (Shaundra) VanNoy, all from Phoenix area and two sisters, Lorna Linford of Evanston, Wyoming and Jolene Hunt of St. John, Arizona.

Visitation and Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Thayne, Wyoming with Interment following at the Thayne Cemetery.

In lieu of floral donations, the family requested donations be made to the Taleisin West Foundation, PO Box 4430, Scottsdale, Arizona 85261 (480-860-2700).

The Van Noy family entrusted Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, Arizona 85282 with final arrangements.
